The Maze Runner

Thomas wakes up and finds himself in a moving elevator. The only thing he can remember clearly is his own name. Everything else is a little fuzzy, he can remember general things but nothing specific. After awhile Thomas is afraid that the elevator will never stop moving. When it does a door opens up above him and he can see people waiting, the next words he hears he will never forget. "Welcome to the Glade"

Interesting

I just read that in ancient vampire lore, people used to leave piles of beans and seeds as a defence against vampires because vampires can't resist counting things. I just realized that Count from Sesame Street was a vampire and always had to count things. Looks like some people did their research.
