
Alanna of Trebond is not like other girls of her time. Instead of being intresed in needle work and house chores, she excells in swoardsmanship and archery. She fools her father, who hardly recognizes she exist, by taking the place of her twin brother and heading to the palace to become a knight. At the palace she went as a boy named Alan and started to learn to be a knight. This is the first of four books in the Song of the Lioness series
