An Uneventful Saturday

An uneventful Saturday. Yeah Right

This Saturday we went to Ohio county for a band competition and this was going to be a very long day. Well from the start the day was bad. We have a semi-truck that pulls all of our equipment and uniforms and we had to get a cab rented to pull it because the one that usually pulls was having issues. Well it turns out some kids had broken into the cab and turned on all of the electrical stuff and run down the battery. So we had to get jumper cables to get it to move so we could get the other cab on. So after that was done with we were on our way to the school. When we got there it was raining a little bit about not being able to perform but it didn't luckily. When we went to perform and everyone was a little nervous and we didn't do as well as we hoped to. We had finals to perform and we draw to see what order we go in and it was just our luck that we had to perform first; and this was really soon after we had preformed earlier. So we got ready and went to warm-up and then that is when the storm hit. It started to rain and hail to no end and it was extremely windy. Some of the parents were outside holding a tarp over our pit stuff while all of this was going on trying to protect it. And after all of this we still didn't get to perform because there were some funnel clouds spotted and we had to wait for that to pass and then we had to rush onto the buses because there was just a small window of time for us to get home. So yeah it was a pretty uneventful Saturday.

Being a Bibliomaniac

If you are someone that doesn't know me or not very well than you might not know that I am a bibliomaniac. When you're a bibliomaniac you can tend to be a little psychotic about books. For instance, when someone asks me about a good book that they might like to read I tend to give them a whole series of books. You know not just one or two but usually four, and sometimes they aren't always thin. Another thing about being a bibliomaniac, you don't ever not have a book at your side. If you don't than that usually means you're sick or something. Another thing is that your room is over run by books and so is your house. You can't look anywhere in my room and house without at least seeing one book. When you're a bibliomaniac you can't go into any store that has some kind of books on sale and not go by them and see if they just happen to have a book your looking for. The only time I don't go look at the books is if I'm forced away from not seeing them by my family. But being a bibliomaniac isn't bad. You get to have plenty of fun looking for books, and if you get to many it even gives your upper body a work out.

Is it better to do something or nothing at all?

I was watching a show called Criminal minds. It was about a young adult who was killing people because he was having psychotic religious episodes and he killed because he thought God told him to. The mother of the child knew what he was doing but did nothing to stop him or told anybody about him. So at the end of the show we found what she was doing and she asks what should she have done besides protect her child by doing nothing, and one of the team members responds It would have been better if you had done something than nothing at all. Since you did nothing three people have died. Now you have to deal with asking yourself what could have happened if you did something.

After watching this it got me started to think about what I had and hadn't done in my life. I was questioning about when I didn't do something would things have turned out differently. I think if we all consider this question before we do or don't act things may turn out differently. If we all just think back to other decisions we have made we could make better ones later and make things better for ourselves.

So I think if we all just consider this question some things will turn out better than they might of.

A family that laughs together stays together

I think that laughter unifys us by letting us have a good time. My fondest memories that I have of my family is when we get together and start to tell stories from the youngest to the oldest and laughing at the stories. One story that I remember being told is that my mom's to youngest siblings were arguing with each other and started to throw leaves at eaqch other (this was during fall). When my aunt Becky (the second youngest) threw leaves at my uncle Jimmy (youngest) a sake hit him. Apparently the snake had decided to take up residence in those leaves. Both of them ran screaming into the house. Another story that I remember is my mom and Sandy (second oldest) shared a room in the house. Sandy didn't like thunderstorms and one night there was a really bad one. Sandy tried to wake my mom up by talking to her and when that didn't work she threw a bar of soap at her. Then she finally woke up. There was also a time that my mom and Sandy were having an argument was with my mom's bed. My mom has to have the bed sheets in such an order that Sandy was tired of having to wait for her to get it ready every night. So one night Sandy decided to put a pine cone into my mom's bed after she had gotten it ready and was going to the bathroom. When my mom stuck her feet in bed she almost immediatly jumped out and was screaming and messed up her entire bed. My aunt was laughing so hard that she couldn't breathe. These are all stories that make me laugh whenever i hear them.
