Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce

Wild Magic is the first book of four in the Immortal series by Tamora Pierce. In this book you meet Daine a young girl who was orphaned by bandits and is looking for a job at a fair. Daine has a Gift of talking to animals but it is like no regular Gift anyone else has, and she keeps quiet about it because it is so odd. At the fair she meets Onua who buys ponies for the Queen's Riders. Onua had just lost her helper and was looking for another one. When she meets Daine she has doubts that she is really an orphan and uses her Gift to she if she lies when she asks her questions about who she is. When Onua finds out that all she lies about is her age she asks Daine to come and look at the horses to see how well she handles them. When she sees Daine interact with the ponies she was interested to see how Daine made dominence over him like a real horse. Afer this she takes Daine on and they head off to the capital. On the road to the capital they encounter mythical creatures that aren't suppose to be alive, encounters heros, and discovers that there might be more to her Gift than she ever thought. This book will become your favorite after you read it. Trust me.

Chris Lossie on this Day of The Lord 8/26/09

Today I got my class ring and am really happy with what it looks like. It's really cool to look at everyone's and no matter what they are each at least a little different. I'm also going to get my yearbook after school and I can't wait to see what it looks like. I'm glad I don't have a lot of homework so I can relax when I get home and not worry about studying for three test like I had to last night. I can get online to Gaia and play zOMG and just mess around. My dad's foot and leg haven't really improved and that still worries me a little. He stays off his feet but it still just swells up like he has been on it all day which he hasn't. He's going to go see the doctor tomorrow and hopefully they will be able to do something to help him.

Chris Lossie on this Day of The Lord 8/24/09

Last Saturday the marching band had their preview performance.

That morning we were at school at 8 to begin practice. The weather was perfect for it, there were clouds in the sky and it was chilly and the wind was blowing. Practice went really well. We got everyone on marching and playing for the first song. At 11:00 the practice ended and we went home for a 7 hour break. At 6:30 we performed and everything went allright for our first performance. After that a bunch of us went to Payton's house to watch movies and to play games and it was loads of fun. Then on Sunday I did nothing all day but sleep and get on the computer. I had a great weekend.

Relative I am most like

I am most like my uncle Jimmy. He has three sisters where as I only have one but we both love to pick on them. I love my sister but I always have the most fun when I can joke with her and make fun of her like she does to me. My uncle also loves to pick on his sister even though he lives in Lexington and the rest of the family lives here in Owensboro. He is about my height and we both have dark brown hair. Whenever people that don't know us see us together ask if we are father and son. When we say no they usually say that that's odd because we look a lot alike.
